Totally Disappointed

Hi and welcome back to 247bodybuilding.

Just a quick recap on the latest happenings.

1) I finished the DTP training and it felt great. The most significant improvement in that month was my gains with regard to losing weight. I didn't eat to bulk up but I kept the cardio sessions really intense.

I was flabby at the midsection to begin with. That was my major turn off about my body at the time. So the DTP program really helped getting that problem area under control.

Then here comes my mistakes. I will list it down in order.

1) I decided to take 2 weeks off to rest and come back to do a full 12 week program. I was running low on proteins so that seemed to be a good idea.

Painful Lesson#1 - Order lots and lots of protein. 1 for all day consumption, 1 for Night time consumption. Best for that is Casein Powders.

So while I took a 2 week break, My supplementation regime also slowed down and I lost muscle mass as I was really low in protein. So that was mistake #1

2) Two weeks became 3 weeks. Work pilled up and dieting was also neglected. I was back looking like an Average Joe by week 3.

Well, that's life (especially when bodybuilding is such an expensive way of life) so do prepare for that journey. The best thing is now, I have to start all over again.

Steps To Starting All Over Again
1. Realize why I failed (or lost focus, momentum)
2. Getting back my enthusiasm. (Have a clear picture in your mind on What you plan to look like)
3. Get that old workout log book and start writing down what you plan to do next and get going.
4. Get to the gym and take a photo of yourself looking like crap and use it as a motivational tool. Tell yourself, this is the last time you will look this pathetic.

Note: Bodybuilding is all about desire. That's all there is to it. If you don't desire to have a better health, to improve lagging, out of shape bodyparts, it's gonna be tough and the dissapointments will be hard to swallow.

Instead, appreciate that no matter what the outcome is.. the human body takes time to change so never lose hope.

Train hard all week, every month, don't repeat mistakes of resting too long and keep the supplementation going and see the results.

It's been a painful lesson for me but I will accept it and do better this time around.

I hope I will have a better looking physique in 84 days.
